In 2018, I submitted a design to the City of Colorado Springs for their Storm Drain Art Project; a call for artists to come up with visual concepts to inform residents about the city’s initiative to keep storm drains clean and to prevent dumping. As a chosen participant, we were required to paint our designs on storm drains throughout the downtown area. My design portrayed the project’s message, “keep it clean, we’re all downstream” to spotlight the large population of wildlife that utilizes this water daily.
